FASHION WEEK:SAINT WOBIL

I was very happy to have attended the Saint Wobil  high profile fashion event by designer Darius at Studio 450. The couture designer's gowns left me speechless. I must say his collection is the Alexander Mcqueen finale collection mixed with modern day ballroom. The pieces are fit for a queen. My favorite is the red dress with the mesh (see above on the left, next to the Nigerian designer). The white dress on the right would be a perfect wedding gown. The gown is exceptional and should be featured in top magazines such as the W magazine. The designer also showed his sophisticated mens wear. This collection was the best I have seen all fashion week, and could clearly see his creative instincts. hard work. and dedication shine through his works. Hands down, I give the collection five stars! Glamour Girl In And Out!

FASHION WEEK: LORIS DIRAN

I attended Loris Diran's presentation during Fashion Week, which was located at the Audi Forum. The presentation was wonderful, not to mention the models being displayed on revolving floors. My favorite outfit is the all white dress above with  the sheer v neck. The designer was just as pleasant as his ingenious  collection. The models were very diverse, which  I love to see in shows. Not only does the designer make clothes for women, but he also have a mens line. If you want to see more of Loris Diran, you could check him out in the new Runway Magazine for Fall 2010. Loris Diran also has a boutique on 3 East 1st Street in Bowery...GLAMOUR GURL IN AND OUT!

FASHION WEEK:GENERAL IDEA

I  attended General Idea SS11's fashion show at the Lincoln Center for Fashion Week. I have been getting a few complaints that my blog does not feature enough stuff for guys. My apologies, and here it is. The collection's inspiration derived from NOSTALGIA. The title of the show was "SLOW", which tied the nostalgic theme to the use of natural colors and silhouettes. Throughout the collection, you could see that the designer used modern graphics. My favorite outfit was the red jacket with the white sleeves, round collar, and khaki shorts. I could definitely declare the jacket as a ready to wear. For the finale, the designer had modern graphic ponchos that said COLOR, WASH, PAST and SLOW all over them...GLAMOUR GURL IN AND OUT!

FASHION FIGHTS CANCER AT THE AUDI FORUM IN NYC

Model Camilla Barungi from Project Runway

Me and stylist Jeremy Williams

I was once told that fashion has no purpose, well here's living proof of it's miraculous wonders! I attended a very high profile charity/trunk show event. The event took place at the Audi-forum. My  favorite designer was Karen Miller, who designed the orange dress (on the left) accessorized with purple flowers. I also met stylist Jeremy Williams (in the picture on the far right at the bottom)  who styled this event and  has done previous shows such as Donna Karan for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Zink magazine sponsored this event, which was very organized and filled with prestigious designers. Overall  I really liked this event and consider this event the best of the summer...Glamour Gurl In and Out!
